Samantha DePoy-Warren is an award-winning writer and photographer who lives in a little and much-loved white farmhouse in Farmington, Maine with her husband, Kyle, along with their beloved German Wirehair Pointer, the admirable Alder, and their newest rascal, Nikon, a German Shorthair Pointer who like his namesake, is fast and focused. She has served as a staff writer and photographer for newspapers in Western Maine including the Rangeley Highlander and the Lewiston Sun Journal and was the youngest newspaper editor in the state when she took on the editorship of a weekly newspaper, the Livermore Falls Advertiser, where she won awards from the Maine Press Association and New England Press Association. In addition, Sam’s writing and photography has appeared in the University of Maine at Farmington’s alumni magazine, Farmington First, as well as numerous other publications around the state. Her photos of Monhegan Island taken for the Maine Office of Tourism appeared in the Sunday Travel section of the Washington Post and in newspapers around the country. Sam’s venture into wedding photojournalism is a result of her and her husband's experiences in planning their own wedding and her desire to offer intimate and imaginative images to similarly inspired couples. Sam can be contacted at sam@idoclick.com. Sam recently started her own blog as a way for future clients to learn a bit about her and to see some of her latest images and for past clients (and her mother!) to keep tabs on her.
